Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2025-01-05T16:36Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
Activity ID: 2025-01-05T16:36:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Source Location: N12E40
Active Region Number: 13947
Note Keyword:
DFL: Likely deflection of the event within the FOV
Faint: Faint event; may affect type assignment
FF: Event fails/disappears before exiting COR2
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
Note: Faint CME first seen in the NE by SOHO LASCO C2 beginning at 2025-01-05T16:36Z. This CME is not visible in SOHO LASCO C3 or STEREO A COR2 due to faintness and a fading front. The source of this event is an M2.4 flare from AR 3947 (N12E40) peaking at 05/15:47Z. This flare can be seen in GOES SUVI 131 along with field line opening seen in GOES SUVI 195.

The List of CME Analysis already entered:
Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type
